Estimated Driving Times

Environmental Modelling – Monitoring and Models

Environmental modelling and monitoring with estimated driving times can play a vital role in spacial data analysis. Customer address lists can be fed into a GIS system, and processed… Customer address lists can be fed into a GIS system and processed to find out how local they are, how long it may take to travel to them, or for them to visit you.

Within a GIS system, estimated driving times to a location can be computed using Drive time polygons, sometimes known as ‘radius maps’ or ‘Voronoi diagrams.’

The occasional drive time can be easily computed using an online mapping service such as Google Maps. But when multiple or more complex analysis is required, this can be combined with postcode analysis, to show how many potential clients you may have within a given drive time for instance.

We have many years of experience using GIS systems and creating understanding from geocoding data. We can help you unlock the value of your spacial data.
