Environmental Modelling – Monitoring and Models
There is a real need for mathematical models to simulate or model various environmental systems, such as water or air quality. Environmental quality measure taken in the field need to be fed into a simulation/model that then computes various coefficients such as accessible dissolved oxygen in a river. Excel environmental modelling offers an excellent system for such models as it is easy to import the data into a spreadsheet model and the results can be easily seen. Future expansion and evolution of the models is easy in Excel so your investment will be future proof. A sophisticated model will likely depend heavily upon VBA as well as the spreadsheet functions of Excel, 3rd party software can easily be integrated into the project as can any algorithms written in any .net language, c, python etc.

It can be used to explore and gain new insights into new technology and to estimate the performance of systems too complex for analytical solutions.
